A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
I am always looking to work with brands/take on projects that align with my personal passions. Below is a sampling of both full-time and freelance work I’ve taken on over the years.
The Migrant Kitchen
Copy for the entire website, as well as social posts/ads, printed goods, etc.
Speech for NASDAQ bell-ringing ceremony
Electronic Press Kit for media rounds
J. Raymond Construction
Managed the company’s social media, ads, and PR — mainly with the intention of building/maintaining goodwill in the community and attracting top talent in an extremely competitive market.
My husband works for this company, so while I’m not personally fired up about commercial construction, this was still a fun time, and now I know all sorts of cool construction words like “tilt-wall” and “cost-plus with a g-max.”
Orlando Ballet
Volunteer Spotlight for the org’s newsletter, Pointes of Interest (sent to over 45,000 monthly)
Wrote all copy for fundraising event materials — from save-the-dates to official invitations (printed on old-timey parchment paper), to on-site materials, and beyond.
Education Foundation of Osceola County
Reporting
LAL Today - fun briefing on daily happenings in Lakeland, Florida
Article for college paper on palliative care services for young cancer patients
Random other stuff
Amazon subscription box copy - I was contracted to write SEO-driven product descriptions for Amazon’s new subscription box service. Jeff Bezos himself actually reached out to personally thank me.
Commercial script for LinkeDrive - Now I just need to book an acting gig as a dissatisfied consumer in an infomercial and I can die happy!
Pillar page for KernelCare’s blog - I can barely open a Google Sheet, yet somehow, I wrote a crap-ton of content for a tech company. Silicon Valley, whaddup?
Product descriptions and funny emails for Chike - This was a fun one.
